Quotes

Welcome to the "Quotes" page.  I just wanted to say a couple of things before you read these.  When I choose quotes to share with readers of this blog I try to imagine how I would feel reading them not only when I'm feeling well, but when my symptoms are bad.  I don't like quotes that say, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it," type thing.  It's like your therapist saying you should be able to pull yourself out of depression by using your coping skills.  While it's true that sometimes you can, you should not feel guilty if you can't.  Many times I've been so depressed that I couldn't even do my coping skills.  It takes time to accept your limitations.  Anyway, enjoy the quotes and if you have any you want me to share you can leave a comment.  Thanks!

"What sets you apart may seem like a burden, but it's not and most of the time it's what makes you great." -Emma Stone

What I meant by sharing this is never stop asking for help.  Find help.  It changes everything when you fight for you.

"Promise me you'll always remember:
you're braver than you believe,
and stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think."

Even if the one thing is choosing not to give up.
